Want to join our Church? Do you have questions about the Catholic Faith?
Have you been attending Mass for years but never been Baptized or initiated into the Catholic Community?
Are members of your family or friends Catholic and you are curious about their faith?
If any of these questions describe your situation, you might want to join our RCIA Inquiry this Fall. The Inquiry Period is a time to formally ask questions of our faith community. What do Catholics believe? Why? Who is God? How is God active in my life? What does it mean to be a member of the community? How can I pray?
In the Inquiry stage you are just finding out about Jesus, Christianity and the Catholic Church. What if you are not sure that you want to become Catholic? That’s fine, too!
RCIA begins with Inquiry. At the end of inquiry, you decide if you want to learn more about the Catholic Faith. This is the beginning of a search for answers and information about how God is working in your life.
What is RCIA? The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is for anyone 7 or older seeking to be baptized and/or enter into the Catholic Church or for adult Catholics seeking completion of the Sacraments of Initiation (e.g., Confirmation or First Communion).
RCIA Inquiry for those thinking about joining the Catholic Church is offered by our parish community. These are informal weekly sessions that provide opportunities for the inquirer to ask his/her questions about the Catholic faith. A team of staff and volunteers from the parish community, along with other inquirers, are ready and willing to explore these questions with your. Drop-ins are always welcome. RCIA Inquiry sessions will begin on Thursday Sept. 10 at 7:30 PM in the St. Peter’s Room of our Parish Center(Lower Level) and will continue every Thursday for the month of September.
